The Peace-talk Creation Group (PCG) will resume its work to mediate between the Tatmadaw and the people over arrests and many citizens accused of obstructing and blocking police officers from carrying out arrests.

On the evening of February 20th, the PCG announced that it would no longer get involved in dealing with the arrests and blocking carried out by anti-coup protestors as some people criticized and blamed the PCG.

“The PCG decided to resume its work at the request of the majority,” said U Lamai Gum Ja, an official of the PCG.

The PCG started working to mediate the conflicts between the Tatmadaw and protestors since February 8th.
