One policeman was killed and two others wounded in a shooting in Kinmom camp and Kadat creek in Kyaikto Township in Mon State on June 14th.

The shooting took place near Kadat creek while some police members were drinking alcohol and shouting. A police member died on the spot in the shootout while one police member sustained an injury to his arm and one civilian, an injury to his thigh.

A local said: “Now the security is tightened in Kinmon camp. One was killed and two wounded. I don’t know who carried out the attacks.” 

Before this incident, there were shootings, according to locals and policemen were deployed near Kadat creek.
