The Spokesperson of the KSCC (Karen State Consultative Council) said: “The KSCC will work on the affairs in the Karenni State by affiliating with the NUG and the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC). Through the interim period, we will implement our goal of ensuing self-determination and the establishment of the federal union. We are working with the CRPH and the NUG to achieve our goal.”

The KSCCC was formed with elected candidates, political parties, the EAOs, youth, women organizations and experts in Kayan State, on April 9th.

The National Unity Government (NUG) has also pledged to collectively work to achieve the goal of building up a peaceful federal democratic union with the Karenni State Consultative Council (KSCC).

A letter signed by the NUG’s Union Prime Minister Mann Win Khaing Than was posted on the official Facebook of the KSCC on April 30th.
