The military council changed the night-time curfew (from 10 pm to 4 am) in Mawlamyine of Mon State as of May 12th.

Although the junta has changed the curfew time, the junta’s troops have stepped up checks beginning at 6 pm.

Since February 8th, the night-time curfew was imposed from 8 pm to 4 am.

In the last week, the night-time curfew was first changed in Yangon.

Although the junta has tightened security to control the anti-coup protests in Mon State, the locals are staging the protests by other means.

During the anti-coup protests in Mon State, eight persons have been killed and more than 300 others are being detained.
