Mindat’s Public Administration Team has recently called on the public not to cooperate in the junta’s efforts to reopen basic education schools in Mindat Chin State, and not to carry out the school enrollment.
An official of Mindat People’s Administration Team said: “We don’t accept it as it is the terrorist military dictatorship. We don’t recognize the terrorist military dictatorship as a government.”
In its statement, the team called on the public not to make school enrollment without the permission of the team, and can not take any responsibility for the security of schools and persons who fail to abide by its recommendation.
On May 5th, the junta’s military council reopened the Ph.D., Masters Degree, final-year courses at universities, colleges and degree colleges of the Higher Education Department under the Ministry of Health and final-year courses of the technical institute and vocational training schools.
Similarly, the junta has announced that the basic education schools would reopen in the coming June.
Currently, the majority of teachers have joined the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) nationwide.
