With the aim of establishing the federal education system, Loikaw University formed the Temporary University Administration Council was formed on May 2nd.

A spokesperson of the Kayah State Teachers’ Union said: “Our main goal is the federal education system. We are ready to implement a path towards the establishment of a federal education system with those who share the same goal with us.”

 

The main purpose of the formation of the temporary administration council is (1) to set up a federal education system in the future federal democratic union, (2) to fully implement the autonomy of the university in conformity with the federal education system, and (3) to perform the administrative and management duties of the university instead of the universities and administrative organizations which cooperate with the terrorist military council. 

 

A teacher said: “I would like to request the public and organizations to encourage our path towards federal education not only at the basic education level but also at the higher education level.”

The temporary university administration council is comprised of CDM teachers, students, alumni and staff.
