“The KYN will only support parties whose policies and principles are in agreement with our principles” asserted Saw Kyaw Lin who added. “The KYN has plans to carry out a media campaign as well as helping parties in organizing their canvassing.”
The KYN held its second meeting from 19 to 21 August. As the KYN’s stance and the political program includes a federal democratic Union, social well-being and a genuine peace
agreement.
They do not anticipate any chance for Karen parties to secure a big victory in the 2020 General Election, but the KYN hopes the new government will prioritize ethnic affairs, peace, and building a federal union beyond the 2020 General Elections.
