The Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) recently appointed the new ministers and deputy ministers for the National Unity Government (NUG).
Among the nearly-appointed ministers, a Kachin female activist becomes the deputy minister of the NUG.
The CRPH appointed U Aung Myo Min as the Union Minister for Human Rights, Nai Thuwunna as the Union Minister for Labour, Ba Ham Htan, Deputy Minister for Human Rights, U Kyaw Ni as Deputy Minister for Labour, Dr. Sai Khaing Myo Tun, as Deputy Minister for Education and Mrs. Hkaung Naw as Deputy Minister for International Cooperation.
Among the nearly-appointed ministers, the Kachin female activist becomes the deputy minister of the NUG. She is a human rights activist and writes articles on human rights for local and international media.
Until now, four Kachin ethnics are included in the cabinet of the NUG. They are Vice-President Duwa Lashi La, Union Minister for National Resources and Environmental Conservation, Dr. Too Khaung, Deputy Minister for Education and Jar Htawe Pan who has been assigned as Deputy Minister for International Cooperation. Ingyanyan MP U La Mar Naw Aung from the Kachin State People’s Party (KSPP) is also included in the CRPH.
