The Ministry of Education has topped the list of civil servants who have joined the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) in Kachin State.
Education is followed by the Ministry of Health and Sports and the Ministry of Rail Transport, according to the statement by the Kachin Political Interim Coordination Team (KPICT) on April 8th.
According to the survey, which is jointly collected by the KPICT and relevant CRPH members, 5,532 civil servants have joined the CDM in Kachin State.
The KPICT said it takes pride in its CDM staff. “We all see the arrests and killings of youth every day. That is why I want all staff to join the CDM for ousting the military dictatorship.”
A youth who joined the anti-coup protests in Myitkyina Township said: “Our teachers join the CDM. I want other departments to join the CDM.”
CDM staff play an important role in blocking the operation of the government mechanism. The KPICT has called on the public to help the CDM.
