The current Shan Ethnics Affairs Minister will run for the same post in the upcoming election in Sagaing Region, according to a statement by the Tai-Leng (Shan-Ni) Nationalities Development Party (TNDP)

Sagaing Region Shan Ethnics Affairs Minister Daw Nan Hmway Khin said: “The party has chosen me to run for the same seat. And I will campaign based on four issues.”

1)      help solve drug problems

2)      place emphasis on natural resource

3)      to promote the equal status of ethnic peoples

4)      promote the rights of women.

 

The TNDP will run for 36 seats in the upcoming elections—27 in Kachin State and nine in Sagaing Region.
