The police issued arrest warrants for six persons including two lawmakers who are charged under Section 505 (a) of the Penal Code, in Mindat Township in Chin State.
Mindat Township Lower House MP U Nay Lin Aung, Chin State MP U Hone Naing, forester U Law Htan from the forest department, Dr. May Thu Aung from Mindat People’s Hospital and Salai Manowan and Ko Htein Khin from the CSOs in Mindat Township.
Their photos are struck at the crowded places in Mindat Township.
Salai Magowan said: “We are charged under Section 505 (a) of the Penal Code as we condemn the military terrorist group and conduct the campaign for the restoration of power to the public. Opening the case has nothing to do with the Section 505 (a)."
Likewise, the police opened the case against health staff Daw Ngao Daw and education staff, U Khaing Sar, under 505 (a) of the Penal Code in Matupi Township and issued arrest warrants for them on March 24.
