The military council has forced railway staff who have joined the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) to return to their work at gunpoint, in Hopin Township, Kachin State.

A local told the KNG that soldiers and police from Mohnyin Township arrived in Hopin Township by train at around 6 am on June 20th.

They coerced CDM staff and non-CDM staff to work along the railroad at gunpoint.

Soldiers and police closed the entry and exit of the railroad and forced CDM and non-CDM staff to sign the pledge. They are compelled to repair the railroad damaged by mine attacks and clear the garbage.
