Eleven Arakan student unions and 77 Arakan CSOs issued a joint statement on March 21st declaring their opposition to the military dictatorship.
In their statement, they call on the army to totally stop the brutal crackdowns on the unarmed people with the use of excessive force and to immediately release all detained anti-coup protestors.
The Arakan CSOs strongly denounce cruel killings, arrests and tortures of people with the abuse of power and share the same grief with the families of victims.
These CSOs are in tune with the nationwide CDM movement and the Spring Revolution and struggle against the State Administration Council demanding it is replaced by a federal democracy system.
In the statement by the 11 Arakan student unions also condemned any cooperation with the SAC and seeking benefit from cooperation with the military council as “very abhorrent”.
