Mon State Agriculture Department removed 109 staff from their posts for joining the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) on May 21st.
The military council removed them for their absence from duty.
“Some CDM staff received the removal letters on the evening of May 21st. Although the military council has not expelled all CDM staff, I will not return to my work,” said a CDM member declared.
The affected staffers are from Agriculture Department, district branches, Mon State Head and perennial tree plantations and the Agricultural Training Institute (Thaton) in two townships in Mon State.
Among the fired staff are deputy heads, assistant officers, upper clerks and lower clerks, watchmen and cleaning staff.
