From 15 February to May 15th, 73 children have been reportedly killed by the junta according to a statement by the National Unity Government (NUG) on May 26th.

“During this period, the breakdown of child victims killed is: 63 males and nine females. One is gender-unknown,” the NUG says.

The children were killed either while staging the protests, being inside their house, or playing outside.

The victims killed in the recent crack-downs in Mindat, Kani and Demawso Townships are not included in the list. This number will be added to the list later.

The NUG has also received news of a 12-year-old child killed by heavy shelling in Moemauk Township.

.Due to the brutal crackdowns on the peaceful protestors, the total number of those killed hit 827 up on May 25th according to the statement by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP).
