The Mohnyin University Council was formed on April 28 as a step towards developing a federal democracy education system and building a future federal state.

It includes the Mohnyin University Teachers’ Union, the Mohnyin University Students’ Union and two staff from the Mohnyin University.

The university council has four policies—

1. The council represents teachers, students and staff from the Mohnyin University.

2. Ensuring the teaching and learning with critical thinking and research-based education

3. the implementation of all-inclusive education and

4. the council is the highest authority of the Mohnyin University during this period of revolution.

The council‘s goal is to set up the federal democracy education system, enable the universities to enjoy autonomy, and eradicate the military dictatorship.

The council will work to form the administration, management and education teams by affiliating with the Ministry of Education under the National Unity Government (NUG).
