Chin State has formed the Interim Chin National Consultative Council (ICNCC) to perform political tasks in Chin State, after the coordination meeting between Chin organizations from home and abroad according to the statement on April 13.

The ICNCC is formed with the Chin National Front (CNF), the Committee Representing Chin Hluttaw (CRCH), the community-based CDM supporting teams and political parties, said Ko Par Htan from the ICNCC.

In its statement, the ICNCC said it would make efforts to protest against the dictatorship till the end and build up a Chin State which can guarantee self-determination, equality and the federal democratic union.

In addition, the ICNCC will be included in the formation of the national unity government on behalf of Chin nationals and form the Interim Chin State Administration in coordination with the democratic forces outside Chin State.
