Former Kachin State CM charged under Section 25 of Natural Disaster Management Law

The police opened the case against former Kachin State Chief Minister Dr. Khet Aung under Section 25 of the Natural Disaster Management Law on March 17th.

Dr. Khet Aung’s lawyer U Thet Tun Oo said: “Police officer Kyaw Zeya filed a case against him. According to the case file, the police arrested him at around 4 pm on March 3rd.” 

Currently, Chief Minister Dr. Khet Aung is being detained in Myitkyina Prison. The exact date for the court appearance is still unknown.
