NLD secures all five constituencies in Mawlamyine Township

The ruling National League for Democracy (NLD) secured all five constituencies in Mawlamyine Township in Mon State, according to the statement by the Township Election Sub-Commission.

Dr. Htein Lwin from the NLD secured Mon State Parliamentary Seat for Constituency-1, Daw Nwe Nwe Aung, Mon State Parliamentary Seat for Constituency-2, U Ko Ko Oo, Upper House Parliamentary Seat for Constituency-5, U Aye Min Han, Upper House Parliamentary seat for Constituency-4 and U Naing Nwe Soe, the lower house parliamentary seat.

The candidates from 16 political parties and one independent candidate competed in the election in Mawlamyine Township.

There are 248,145 eligible voters in Mawlamyine Township.

The voter turnout rate is 62.41 percent.
