Three proposals were presented, two bills were approved and seven questions were discussed in the final session of the second Arakan State parliament.

The proposals approved in Arakan State parliament are:

1) MraukU Township Constituency-1 MP U Tun Thar Sein’s proposal urged the Union government to remove the United League of Arakan (ULA)/Arakan Army (AA) from the list of terrorist groups in order to advance the  peace process;

2) Yathaedaung Township Constituency-1 U Oo Than Naing’s proposed the government should provide more effective aid for the secure and peaceful return of IDPs.

3) Kyauktaw Township Constituency-2 MP U Maung Than Sein’s proposed the 4G network to be restored for access to real-time and transparent information.

The Arakan State parliament also approved the bill on the systematic use of fertilizers, the systematic production and use of natural fertilizers, and a bill amending Arakan State Municipal Law for the second time.

The proposal on the additional budget for 2020-2021 fiscal year was discussed in the Arakan State parliament, and some questions raised.

The 15th session of the second Arakan State parliament took place from 11 to 19 January.
