From February 1st to March 31st, the total number of the people killed in the brutal crackdowns by the police and army has reached 536, according to the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP).

The AAPP said the actual number of the people killed in the brutal crackdowns is expected to be higher, as these are only confirmed deaths. It will continue to release the list of remaining casualties.

Thirty-eight of 2,729 detainees have been convicted. Efforts are being made to confirm how many have been released. A total of 120 people have gone into hiding after the issuance of arrest warrants, the AAPP said.

In addition to the arrests of the people and tortures of detainees, security forces are making brutal crackdowns on anti-coup protestors and destroying public properties every day.

A total of 114 civilians were killed by security forces on the Armed Forces Day which falls on March 27th. It was the deadliest day since the coup on February 1st.
