Security forces abducted a member of Tai Youth Organization (TYO), at gun point, in Kengtung in eastern Shan State, on the morning of April 23.

Sai Nge, 41 from Myothit No.3 ward in Kengtung was abducted by plain-cloth security forces at gun point for no apparent reason, said a youth from Kengtung.

In recent days, Sai Nge was not present at his home, when security forces searched him.

“He is a member of a philanthropic organization in the ward, as well as a member of the TYO. He is working for regional development,” he added. The abduction of Sai Nge at gun point aims to threat anti-coup protestors."

 

In Kengtung, the security forces have arrested 14 youth protestors including TYO member Sai Nge.
