The 21st-century South Korean writers association announced that they pledged active support to Myanmar writers, peaceful protestors and Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) against the military coup.

They strongly condemned the army’s brutal crackdown on unarmed civilians and called for an end to the brutal killings of the people, the peaceful handover of the power to the Committee Representing

Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), and the will of the people to be respected in accordance with the election results.

The Korean writers urged the South Korean government to reject the military coup and to recognize the CRPH formed with the support of elected political leaders.

They also support the Myanmar people’s ardent desire for democracy and will cooperate with the international community for the restoration of democracy in Myanmar.
