Shan-ni (Tai Lyan) Solidarity Party (SSP) has not received any offer from the ruling National League for Democracy (NLD) , said Sai Naing Naing Kyaw, General Secretary of the party.

“The NLD is only meeting with the winning candidates from ethnic parties ” he added. In a bid to build a democratic federal union and ensure the emergence of a national unity government, the NLD delegation led by Magway Region Chief Minister Dr. Aung Moe Nyo has held talks with various ethnic parties who won seats in the election.

“I think there will be meetings in the future as the NLD sent open letters to ethnic parties,” U Sai Naing Naing Kyaw added.

A total of 15 candidates from the Shan-ni Solidarity Party—ten in Sagaing Region and five in Kachin State— competed in the 2020 General Elections. But the party did not win any seats.
