Over 60 CDM members fired from Electricity and Energy Ministry in Mohnyin District

The Ministry of Electricity and Energy has fired 66 daily-wage staff who joined the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) in Mohnyin District in Kachin State on April 7th, according to the statement by the Electricity Supply Enterprise on April 8th.

Those affected are: two from Kachin State Office, 12 from Bhamo Township, 17 from Mohnyin Township, 24 from Moegaung Township, three from Putao Township, two from Moemauk Township, four from Mansi Township and one each from Swanparabwan and Myothit Townships.

A staff member from Mohnyin Township who has been dismissed, wrote on her social media: “We follow our duty. I have been fired because I joined the CDM. Achieving success in the revolution is important. We our revolution must succeed.”
