The candidates from the ruling National League for Democracy (NLD) have secured all seats for three parliaments in Taunggyi Township in Shan State, according to the statement by the Township Election Sub-Commission.

The election sub-commission has not released the winning candidates for ethnic affairs ministers, yet.

Incumbent Union Minister U Ohn Win secured the lower house seat, U Aung Ko Ko, the upper house seat, Shan State Minister for Planning and Finance U Soe Nyunt Lwin, seat for State constituency-1 and lower MP Dr. Daw Than Ngwe, seat for State constituency-2.

There are 254 polling stations and 324,913 eligible voters in Taunggyi Township composed of 51 wards and 24 village-tracts.

A total of 76 candidates from 15 parties, including six independent candidates, competed in the election—10 for lower house, nine for upper house, 13 for Shan State parliamentary constituency-1, eight for Shan State parliamentary constituency-2, seven for Bamar ethnic affairs minister, four for Kachin ethnic affairs minister, six for Lisu ethnic affairs minister, five for Lahu ethnic affairs minister, six for Inn ethnic affairs minister, three for Akhar ethnic affairs minister and five for Karenni ethnic affairs minister.
