The fighting between the army and the Mindat Defense Force continued in Mindat Township in Chin State since the morning of April 27th.

A local from Mindat Township said: “There was fighting between the people’s defence force and soldiers heading to Mindat Township from Kyaukhtoo Township. Around seven military vehicles were heading to Kyaukhtoo Township.”

On the evening of April 26th, there were the exchanges of firing between the army and the members of Mindat defence force, leaving at least 10 soldiers dead with the burning down of two military vehicles and a police vehicle.
