The voter turnout rate in the 2020 General Election in Kayah State is 76 percent, according to the result issued by the Union Election Commission (UEC) on December 1.

The 162,875 of 212,916 eligible voters cast their votes in Kayah State, standing fifth place on the list of nationwide voter turnout.

In Loikaw Township, 75,757 of 100,267 eligible voters cast their votes, 45,965 out of 56,674 in Demawso Township, 10,507 of 16,912 in Phruso Township, 4,312 of 5,628 in Shardaw Township, 10,507 of 16,912 in Hpahsang Township, 7,202 of 8,207 in Bawlakhae Township and 4,434 of 5,275 in Mase Township.

According to the statement by the UEC on December 1, the total number of eligible voters in the elections is 38,271,447.

In the 2015 General Elections, 142,592 of 178,316 eligible voters cast their votes in Kayah State, with a voter turnout rate of 79 percent.
