A total of 52 police members joined the third day of the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) in Loikaw in Kayah State on February 10th, according to the organizers and denied a report by Tatmadaw’s True News Information Team that they were not regular police officers but “local volunteers.”

According to the statement by the Tatmadaw True News Information Team, the police members who joined the anti-coup protest on February 10th “are not members of the Myanmar Police Force ( MPF) but are appointed by locals for a job creation program.”

The Kayah State’s Anti-Coup Committee responded that the Tatmadaw True News Information Team’s statement on the police protest in Kayah State is wrong.

The committee said they have their names including serial numbers of police involved in the protest.

The committee has urged civil servants to participate in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM).
