Chairs and secretaries of election sub-commission in Kachin State released

Kachin State Administration Council released all detained chairs and secretaries of the election sub-commission in Kachin State on the morning of March 17.

The army arrested them on February 10th.

“The army accommodated us at nearby military guesthouses. The army treated the chairs and secretaries well. The SAC questioned us. Then we were allowed to go home,” said U Tun Aung Khaing, Kachin State Election Sub-Commission Officer.

The Kachin SAC released the chair and secretary of Kachin State Election Sub-Commission, chairs and secretaries from four districts and 18 townships election sub-commission in Kachin State.
