The anti-coup protest continued for the fourth day in Kalay Township of Sagaing Region on February 10th in spite of the heavy presence of soldiers and police.

Although the security members blocked the main roads in Kalay Township, the protestors marched to the bronze statue of General Aung San.

Around 100,000 people participated in the anti-coup rally and chanted “May the military dictatorship collapse”, “Restore democracy”, “Release the detained state leaders immediately”, and “Support the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM)”.

 

The residents encouraged the protestors on both sides of the road by raising three-finger salute and clapping their hands.
