Last week, the Chin resistance ambushed two regime convoys, killing at least three Burma Army (BA) soldiers with landmines in northern Chin State.
The People’s Defence Forces (PDF) spokesperson for Zoland told Khonumthung News that in the first attack at 11am on 23 February, they stopped the BA convoy in its tracks between Thine Nguen and Falam, killing the three soldiers and preventing vehicles from continuing their journey until nightfall. The PDF was supported by the Civil Defense Militia – Siyin (CDM – Siyin).
Later the same day, the resistance fighters attacked a 18 vehicle convoy carrying reinforcement troops and food rations between Kalay and Falam with a landmine.
On 15 February, the groups killed at least 10 soldiers in a raid on a BA convoy of 23 trucks travelling from Falam town to Kalay.
Khonumthung News couldn’t independently confirm any of this information.
