The National Unity Government (NUG) views the recent successful operations of the Three Brotherhood Northern Alliance against the Junta, as good opportunity for all revolutionary forces to work together to build a federal democratic union.
On October 29, Thadingyut Full Moon Day, during the commemoration of the 1000th anniversary of the People's Spring Revolution, Dr. Win Myat Aye, Union Minister of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management of the NUG, included these remarks in his speech.
"Now our revolution has reached 1,000 days. We have surpassed the darkest times, and now a new dawn has arrived. It is a favorable time to actively contribute to the building of the federal democratic union that all the people aspire to, in harmony with Operation 1027 of the Three Brotherhood Alliance. This unity is akin to blood ties for all revolutionary forces. We earnestly call upon everyone not to miss this chance and to participate. Together we will unite and attain victory for the people," he said.
On October 27, the Three Brotherhood Alliance, comprising the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA), Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), and Arakan Army (AA), launched Operation 1027.
Immediately following the announcement, intense clashes erupted in multiple townships within northern Shan State. Furthermore, on October 27, the National Unity Government (NUG) declared its collaboration with the Three Brotherhood Alliance to conduct coordinated operations alongside Operation 1027.
The NUG has called upon all factions to unite in the resistance effort, emphasizing the need for the participation of diverse ethnic revolutionary organizations, the various forces of the Spring Revolution, and the entire populace. They also urged unwavering commitment to eliminate the military dictatorship and establish a federal democratic union.
Prime Minister Mahn Win Khaing Than of the National Unity Government (NUG) made the following statement regarding the situation where revolutionary organizations are engaging in conflicts with the Military Council troops.
"Now all the ethnic revolutionary forces are initiating strategic offensives across all fronts to eliminate the military dictatorship and establish a new federal democratic union state.
The People's Defense Forces (PDF), the defenders of the people, are also dutifully fulfilling their roles."
Prime Minister Mahn Win Khaing Than of the NUG further explained that in addition to military actions, concerted efforts are being made on the political front to bring an end to the coup regime of the Military Council.
"From a political perspective, the NUCC, NUG, ethnic revolutionary organizations, and the Spring Revolution forces have jointly pledged in a recent statement their unity in the pursuit of democratic representative governance and the termination of the reign of the terrorist military dictatorship in Myanmar."
