Junta burns down a village on Ann-Minbu Road, reducing many homes to ashes

Columns of the Junta are making their way to the Western Command in Ann Town, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake by setting fire to a village on the Ann-Padan-Minbu road, reducing numerous homes to ashes.

In Ngape Township, Magway Region, the village of Bon Baw was engulfed in flames.

“The 88th Division, a component of the Magway junta, was responsible for leading the attack on the villages, resulting in their destruction by fire. On November 23, around 50 houses in Bon Baw village were consumed by fire,” a local source disclosed.

In excess of 50 houses were badly hit in Bon Baw village.

A source told Narinjara News that the junta columns, reinforced from Magway Region to the Western Command in Ann Town, Arakan State—where fighting is ongoing—set fire to the village between November 23 and 25 while conducting a military operation along the road.

A female resident stated that hundreds of people are in a state of panic and evacuating due to the military regime's arson attacks.

“The junta forces' arson attacks have caused us to flee. The situation didn't allow us to take anything. Our alleged support for the AA, PRA, and PDF resulted in the burning of the villages. The accusations against our villagers are unfounded,” she claimed.

The junta carried out airstrikes using a fighter jet at Goke Gyi village in addition to the arson. Through a statement in its mouthpiece newspaper on November 25th, the military regime denied the village attack and blamed PDF groups for the fire during the fighting.

On the morning of November 25, the Chin Defence Force - Asho (CDF-Asho) ambushed soldiers escorting military vehicles to reinforce the Western Command on Ann-Padan Road in Ngape Township, Magway Region. In the ambush, four junta soldiers were killed and one firearm was captured.

Around 4:00 p.m. on November 20, another surprise attack took place, claiming the lives of nine junta soldiers and injuring ten others.

The junta forces, reinforcing the Western Command in Ann, were ambushed by the Arakan Army (AA), Chin Defence Force - Asho (CDF-Asho), and the People's Revolution Alliance (Magway), which led to skirmishes.

After enduring heavy setbacks at the Western Command in Ann, the military authorities commenced military actions on November 20, dispatching thousands of soldiers and military vehicles from Magway.
