Joint forces under the command of the Government of Chinland have successfully seized three junta camps located between Hakha, the capital of Chin State, and Thantlang Town.
These forces are currently engaged in an ongoing attack on a fourth camp, according to the Chin National Front/Chin National Army (CNF/CNA).
“We have taken control of three junta camps between Hakha and Thantlang. We are still attacking another key camp, and clashes are ongoing,” said CNF/CNA spokesperson Salai Htet Ni.
The offensive against the junta camps began on the morning of July 22, carried out by the combined forces of the Chinland Council and the Government of Chinland.
Hakha-based junta battalions are now firing artillery into the combat zones. Simultaneously, junta troops stationed at Auto Hill are continuously sending reinforcements to the embattled camps, Salai Htet Ni reported.
The objective of the ongoing operations by the Chin resistance forces is to disrupt the connections between the junta troops stationed in Hakha and Thantlang.
“To make Chin State a junta-free zone, it is crucial to sever the link between the junta troops in Hakha and Thantlang. Previously, we held positions between these two towns, but we temporarily withdrew when the clashes intensified. Now, we are attacking to retake control of those areas,” Salai Htet Ni explained.
He also confirmed that some of the enemy's weapons and ammunition were seized during the clashes, though details of the casualties on both sides remain unknown.
In addition to CNF/CNA, various other groups are fighting together under the command of the Chinland Council and the Government of Chinland. These groups include the Chinland Defense Force - Hakha (CDF-Hakha), CDF-Thantlang, CDF-Zofa, CDF-Lautu, CDF-Senthang, CDF-KKG, CDF-Vakok, and the People's Defense Army (PDA).
