AA's Capture of Myebon Township - Another Military Triumph

The Arakan Army (AA) added to its string of military victories in northern Rakhine State by seizing control of Myebon Township.

On February 15th, AA announced that they had taken control of all Junta bases, police stations, and outposts in Myebon.

In its statement, AA declared that over the span of three months of operations in Rakhine State and Paletwa Township, it successfully seized control of Military Council bases, police stations, and other military facilities in Paletwa, Pauktaw, Kyauktaw, Minbya, Mrauk-U, and Myebon townships.

Around 1:00 am before dawn on February 12th, approximately 300 individuals including Junta troops, government employees, family members, and police personnel, secretly  departed from Myebon Township. A Junta Navy vessel was waiting to transport them to Kyaukphyu Township.

AA has successfully gained control and occupied Taungpyo, Samee, Tattaung, Kanhtaunggyi, Laytaung, and others, which are designated as towns.

The AA has also affirmed its dedication to persist in strategic offensive attacks, in line with its military objective of eliminating all Military Council military and police bases in the remaining towns and townships of Rakhine State.

On the other hand, the Military Council is desperately resisting, utilizing all Army, Air Force, and Navy resources to thwart further loss of townships and towns, as stated by AA.
