Khine Nwe Oo — Voters from Seven Mile/Shwe Pyi Soe Village Tract in Tanintharyi Region’s Kawthoung Township are worried about not having enough time to cast their ballots as there is only one polling station in the area, according to U Zaw Min Htike, who is running as an independent candidate in the constituency.

“When the people from the commission gave their advanced votes there were problems like not enough envelopes or ballots, or not knowing where to stamp the seal. Now there won’t be enough time for people to vote because there is only one polling station,” he said.

Although the election is today, many people still don’t have voter registration cards. There have been worries over the election’s results due to the imbalance between the polling stations and number of voters.

According to U Zaw Min Htike, over 3000 people have lined up to vote in the village tract.
