Three Brotherhood Alliance Proclaims Successful Capture of Many Military Outposts and Bases

The Three Brotherhood Alliance has declared the successful capture of anticipated military targets within a span of 40 days, since launching 'Operation 1027' in northern Shan State. This development has inflicted significant damage on the Military Council.

Presently, the Three Brotherhood Alliance has seized control of five towns—Chinshwehaw, Mankan (Monekoe), Kunlong, Pang Hseng (Pan Saing), and Konkyan—in northern Shan State. Furthermore they have taken possession of the four border trade posts of Chinshwehaw, Mankan, Pang Hseng, and Kyin San Kyawt. The resistance forces have also gained control of over 200 outposts, bases, and installations belonging to the Military Council. During the battles, hundreds of Military Council troops surrendered to the resistance forces.

The Alliance, composed of the Arakan Army (AA), the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA), and the Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), has asserted that it launched relentless attacks on the specified military targets, achieving well-deserved successes.

"This operation unfolded on a national scale, marking an unprecedented moment in history. The success it achieved can be attributed to the strategic execution of a military plan by the Three Brotherhood Alliance”, a Rakhine political analyst said.

Despite 40 days having passed since the start of the operation, the Three Brotherhood Alliance persists in its efforts to attack and capture Military Council outposts in Kutkai, Hsipaw (Thibaw), and Kyaukme townships.

AA, part of the Three Brotherhood Alliance, also conducted a separate operation in Rakhine and in just over 20 days, it successfully raided and took control of four border guard police outposts belonging to the Military Council. Additionally, AA easily secured approximately 40 outposts and police stations where Military Council troops had retreated.

Furthermore, AA has seized the strategically important Tarunaing Base in Paletwa Township, Chin State, and is currently engaged in an offensive to secure control of the Hnonebu Base, as reported by AA.

The anticipation is widespread that 'Operation 1027' will mark a significant turning point in the endeavor to dismantle the military dictatorship.

"If armed revolutions occur in other States and Regions almost simultaneously, capturing Naypyidaw, the stronghold of the Military Council, becomes a realistic expectation”, U Than Soe Naing, a military and political analyst told DMG.

As armed resistance strengthened nationwide, the Junta leader suggested resolving the current conflict through political means but sticking by the military-drafted 2008 constitution., Observers deem this vague talk of political talks as extremely unlikely to lead anywhere.
