Myanmar President U Win Myint on Tuesday called on the country’s people to give more cooperation and assistance to the government's efforts for domestic peace, the establishment of the democratic federal union and development, Xinhua reported.

Speaking on the occasion of New Year 2019, U Win Myint expressed his belief that Myanmar will be able to meet and overcome the difficulties and crisis facing the country by holding on to truth and justice.

He told the country’s people that the government has been working with unceasing vigilance and unflagging zeal for the fruition of national interest of the country, the president conveyed glad tidings saying that from the new year forth and in the coming years, there will be more good opportunities in the political, economic and social sectors.
