In the Saung Nang Khe Village in Southern Shan State on the east shore of Pekon Inn between Pekon Township and Nyaung Shwe Township, there was a clash between Military Council troop and PDF troop at around 6:30 PM last night on May 24.
A PDF member of east shore said the Pa-O National Organization (PNO) has joined the Military Council troop, but PNO denied that.
An official of the Pa-O National Organization (PNO) replied to the Kantarawaddy Times’ question that it was not them and they were based in the area only.
“We only based in our district. We didn’t go. We are in our area”, he said.
PNO troops were active in the Htiri, a Pa-O village, near Saung Nang Khe village, but they heard commanding in the Pa-O language during the recent clashes with the Military Council and the PNOs were also found in the confiscated phone.
“Today, they are still commending orders in Pa-O language. The other side is giving orders in the Pa-O language and it is not possible for a Burmese soldier. We got a phone call from them. I got two guns, two long hands, and a shorthand. All are three guns. So I got a phone. When the phone rang, they spoke in a Pa-O accent and then in Pa-O language. We told them why they did to the ethnic groups each other. That's exactly".
The Military Council troops and the PNO troops are possible for the reinforcement from the east shore to help Moe Bwe, and that there can be a clash with the eastern coast of PDF forces first according to a member of the east coast PDF.
"I don't know whether they consider it as one of their communication channel on the East Shore. There was intelligence for one day, two days for that. The villagers said that they had stolen a ten-wheel truck and transported them to Loikaw the previous day.
After the fighting lasted for more than an hour, two members of the Military Council and the PNO were seen dead and two were injured on the PDF side.
