Shan State — Over 100 troops from the National Democratic Alliance Army (NDAA), based in Mongla within Special Region 4 of eastern Shan State, were promoted to the rank of junior officers during the 4th edition of the graduation ceremony.

The graduation ceremony took place on October 1st in the primary hall of the military training academy located in Special Region 4, an area where NDAA mainly operates, NDAA secretary U Kyi Myint told Shan Herald.

"This is our fourth graduation ceremony. The junior officers who completed their training are not only outstanding soldiers, but also promising individuals in the region. They possess great potential, which we aim to further develop through our training programs.

Our goal is to prepare them for significant responsibilities ahead”, U Kyi Myint said.

U Kyi Myint also unveiled that the cadre training spans a duration of 21 months, during which senior NDAA officers provide both theoretical and practical instruction.

The graduation ceremony was graced by the presence of Vice President Wu SangBai, Deputy Commander Li ZhengLong, Special Region Administrative Leader Yan Xiang La, Secretary General Ah Liu, along with numerous other dignitaries and officials.

Mongla, the capital of this Special Administrative Zone bordering China, with its economy dominated by casinos, smuggling and border trade. Most streets signs and restaurants use Chinese language and most buildings were designed by Chinese.  .

According to the Mongla Wechat Channel, Vice President Wu SangBai delivered essential guidance to the recently graduated young cadre officers, and one of the trainees expressed gratitude on behalf of his fellow comrades.

“All 141 participants successfully completed the course, with 2 of them receiving pioneer awards and 16 others earning outstanding awards. Additionally, training certificates were presented to the remaining trainees”, Mongla Wechat Channel reported.

Mongla Wechat Channel also encouraged the young NDAA cadre officers to utilize their newly acquired skills and knowledge effectively, to remain humble and avoid arrogance, and to strive diligently towards becoming proficient commanders.
