NUG’s acting president asks China to end Myanmar junta’s crimes against inhumanity

Acting president of National Unity Government, Duwa Lashi La, asked China to stop Myanmar junta’s  crimes against humanity and murder  of innocent civilians across the country.

At the 11th meeting of NUG on 21 March, the acting president said, “We welcome Chinse intervention in Myanmar’s prevailing crisis, and we also request Chinese government to stop Myanmar junta’s crimes against humanity and the murder of innocent people.”

He also urged all the resistance forces for more unity to end the coup of junta regime.

Representing CRPH, Dr Win Myat Aye, the member of NUG and Amyotha Hluttaw parliamentarian, reported to the 146th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Manama, Bahrain which was held from 11 to 15 March, that  Myanmar military has arrested and killed parliamentarians and innocent civilians, the acting president said.

He continued to say that internal and external groups could prosecute the junta chief and its followers at international justice organizations in near future.

On the other hand, the NUG is working together with international donors to provide effective assistance to the civilians who fled from homes in central region and ethnic areas of Myanmar due to brutal and violent attacks of junta troops, said the acting president.

The Data for Myanmar, which is an independent organization that provides useful “data for the people” in Myanmar, has said that  over 60,000 houses of civilians in five regions and seven states were destroyed in arson attack of junta soldiers and affiliated groups since February 2023.
