The Myanmar junta conducted an airstrike on Net Saung village, located west of Taungtha in Mandalay Region, killing six people, including three women, according to local sources.

The bombing occurred at around 10:30 pm on 4 March, destroying approximately 30 houses.

“As soon as we heard the sound of a jet, some ran outside their homes while others hid in bomb shelters. The jet circled the village seven times before dropping bombs,” a woman resident said.

The attack killed three women, one man, and two children, all struck by bomb fragments, while two others sustained serious injuries.

“The sound of the jet alone could be deadly for those with heart conditions. We lived on the edge of the village, so we ran to the banks of the stream outside the village. We spent the whole night in the ravines, fearing both the military and venomous snakes,” another woman from Net Saung village said.

On the morning of 5 March, military jets continued to hover over the area, prompting the displacement of approximately 10,000 residents from Net Saung, Inn Tae, Pu Det Sa Kone, Htan Kyin, and Htan Pin Chang villages fleeing the conflict.
