More migrants returned to Myanmar from Thailand

A total of 77 more illegal Myanmar migrant workers have arrived back to Myanmar from Thailand, according to Myanmar’s Immigration and Population Department, Xinhua reported.

The migrant workers were delivered by the Thai authorities through Kawthoung border gate in southern Tanintharyi region.

They were arrested by the Thai authorities because they had no work permits and carried expired border passes.

According to the department, 488 illegal Myanmar migrants including women and children were handed over by the Thai authorities to Myanmar counterparts between January and March this year.
