The military junta launched an airstrike on Min Ywa Village, Kawkareik Township, Karen State, on the night of September 29, according to local sources.
Around 9 p.m. last night, without any ongoing armed conflict in the area, the junta's aircraft bombed Min Ywa Village, causing damage to homes and injuries among villagers. However, the exact extent of the damage is still unknown.
"Around 9:30 p.m., an aircraft dropped bombs on Min Ywa Village near Kawbein. Houses were hit, and people were injured. We can't specify the degree of the damage yet, as we haven't been able to enter the village. There was no battle; they just bombed it," said a resident of Min Ywa Village.
The military junta has continued bombing civilian villages even in areas without ongoing clashes, in addition to places in ongoing armed conflicts.
In Kyar Inn Seik Gyi Township, the military has been conducting aerial reconnaissance day and night since September 27, causing anxiety among locals who fear possible airstrikes.
A Kyar Inn Seik Gyi resident mentioned, "Previously, they would occasionally use reconnaissance flights to survey this area. But now it's happening every day, continuously. There is aerial reconnaissance day and night; especially at night, the local residents are terrified."
Similarly, on September 9, the military carried out an airstrike on Kyon Kha Won Village in Kyar Inn Seik Gyi Township, even though no battle was occurring at the time, injuring two civilians.
In areas like Anan Kwin and Phar Pyaw villages in Kyar Inn Seik Gyi Township, where there are no battles, the military frequently carries out airstrikes and artillery attacks.
