Military Council conducts over 100 airstrikes in Chin State within 2-month period

According to the Chin National Front (CNF), military council forces conducted over 100 aerial bombardments in Chin State between January and February.

The Military Council carried out more than 115 bombings using fighter jets and military helicopters in Chin State in more than 50 days from January 1 to February 25, and damaged many people's homes, including monasteries, the Chin National Front CNF News and Information Department announced yesterday.

During the month of January, the Military Council conducted 26 airstrikes in Thantlang township, 12 in Mindat township, and 2 in Matupi township, bringing the total number of bombings to 40 in Chin State.

The CNF statement also revealed that in February, the military council conducted 75 airstrikes solely in Thantlang city, with an additional 34 bombings occurring on February 16 and February 25.

During the two-month period of the military council's bombardment, aside from Thantlang town, the rest of the affected areas were villages where people had fled the war.
