A regime jet fighter has killed three people, including two women—one of whom was a minor—in Sagaing Region.
The aircraft bombed the village of Sawbwa Yeshin and Khampat town, both of which are under the control of the People's Defense Force and located on the Kale–Tamu road, with powerful 500 lb shells on April 22.
A witness reported that two people were killed in Ward 1 of Khampat, including a 17-year-old woman and 20-year-old man, during an attack that injured many others, with one 40-year-old man in critical condition.
At least seven homes were destroyed during the three attacks on the town.
In Sawbwa Yeshin, a 46-year-old woman died and seven people were injured, with four seriously hurt, during a late-night attack while residents were asleep.
Five homes, including the pastor's residence, were destroyed by the two shells dropped on the village.
In early January, 17 people were killed and many others injured during an airstrike on the village of Kanan near Khampat.
