The man who raped and killed a Myanmar migrant worker working in Thailand has been arrested, the volunteers who assist migrant workers told Than Lwin Times.
The girl missed two days of work after going to the Loy Krathong Festival after work on November 8.
Her co-workers couldn’t contact her by phone, so they visited her room and found her dead with bleeding injuries and informed the police.
The Thai police conducted an investigation, and when questioning some of the suspects and witnesses, the man confessed to the crime.
The perpetrator, a married man, confessed to Thai police that he raped and killed the girl.
The murdered woman was a 26-year-old Myanmar migrant worker who lived alone in an apartment on Bangkok’s Ekachai 89 Street. She is married and has a daughter.
