Since the first week of September, at least 10 people, including two businesspeople, have been detained in Thatthong Township, Mon State, and the military council has also sealed off two homes, the locals told Than Lwin Times.
Those detained by the military council are accused of funding the PDF and being involved.
Two business people, Daw Soe Soe Nwe of Mi Ba Gon gold shop and U Soe Moe of Soe Moe mobile shop, are reportedly among those arrested.
The detainees are held incommunicado and their whereabouts are still unknown.
In addition, the military council also sealed off two homes of residents, U Tun Tun and U Zaw Oo, in the Theingon Ward of Thaton Township in the past few days.
According to local residents, after a bomb exploded in the Theingone Ward of Thaton on September 13, the military council made a series of arrests and tightened security in the township.
Nearly 500 people have been arrested in Mon State since the military takeover, and the majority of them have received prison sentences.
