KNDF warns refugees not to return home as military councils fire on civilians

The Karenni National Defense Force (KSNA) has warned refugees not to return to their homes as troops are firing on them as soon as they see people fleeing fighting in Karenni State.

A landmine put by the military council burst in the backyard of a family member returning home in Daw Oo Khu Ward in Loikaw in early April, injuring two children.

Therefore, the Karenni National Defense Army (KNA) spokesman said that the refugees should return home after the fighting is over.

The military council, on the other hand, is stationed in Dimoso and Loikaw, and targets adjacent communities with heavy artillery on a daily basis.

Due to violence between the military council and the local People's Defense Force following the military coup, more than 200,000 people are sheltering in adjacent forests and refugee camps in Karenni State.
